We all are looking for inspiration and strength through books, movies, songs and miniseries. We will be reviewing them on this series. Look at the list below.
I know we’re all busy, so let me introduce you to some great books on a variety of topics. If any of the reviews pique your interest, you can read or listen to the book and move your life in that direction. I will post the podcasts as I record them, but this is what you have to look forward to. What can we do after the Robb Elementary shooting? What can one person do? Reflections on the tragedy in Texas and what it means for each of us. Stay strong, show compassion, share love.
I am here for you, mi gente.
What does the little internal voice mean to you? Is it nice, loving, and affirming or critical and judgmental? Does it keep you from doing things or expressing who you really are? Does it support you in your adventures? Listen to a great short conversation with Dewa Dorje, comedian, entertainer, writer and podcaster, on what it means for us. It's funny how both Dewa and I had a different take on that little voice, yet we understood where the other was coming from. I was talking about the judgmental internal voice I struggled with growing up, and she was talking about the way you talk to your younger self now.
You can follow Dewa and go hear her live at https://www.dewadorje.com Instagram @dewadorje Facebook @dewa.dorje https://www.facebook.com/dewa.dorje Self love is easy to say, yet so difficult to practice at times. How does it show up in your life? Who do you look up to in that department? As you can see, Frida Kahlo taught me that through her self portraits, especially the one where she’s holding her own hand. Wow, she was there for herself, she had her own back in joy as well as dark times. RIP Frida, gracias for leaving something for me!
